I'm reposting this because I have apparently removed both copies of it. I wasn't aware I had removed both. Ah well.
There's an interesting story behind this one.
This is a picture taken and subsequently autographed an hour later (or so) by Michael O'Hare, Commander Jeffrey Sinclair of Babylon 5. (also played another role but I won't spoil anything lol) This was my first sci-fi convention and lo and behold we were part of the con security. So while we were sitting downstairs around midnight the day/night before the con officially opened, in walks Mr. O'Hare through the back door and promptly plops himself down beside someone and joins in the conversation, not caring what it was. That impressed me. He was a likable, sweet guy with a sense of humor. After hotel security found him and whisked him off to his room, we all went to bed.
Now, as to the pic. I approached him at the autograph table and he must have remembered me because he handed my camera to the con promoter, motioned for me to stand next to him, which resulted in this picture being snapped. Now... I was thinking, "wow! He did NOT have to do that." So I used up that roll of film s quickly as possible, ran across the street to Towson Town Center, had it developed, and returned with that pic for him to autograph during the security folks' second round of autographs.
HE was so impressed with the fact that I had it done he autographed it on the spot. I think the question he asked, in Commander Sinclair's own sweet style, was "how the HELL did you get this developed so quickly?"
To this day, Season 1 is still my favorite. Every novel, every saga needs a backstory. And a great leader.
