I really do. The deviantart community almost lost a 12-year member this morning. Let me explain.
I forgot me meds yesterday morning, which happens from time to time. I didn't realize is forgotten themnuntil last night when I started to take me evening dose. My sugar was 297 at 11:30 pm so I decide to take all of it in one gulp. I haven't eaten anything since 7 and it was 297. OUCH
My diabetes meds are twofold: Metformin and Glyburide. The latter stimulates the pancreas to create more insulin. It should not not NOT be multiplied. And here's why.
Around 3 am I woke up only to find my chest constricting, heart palpitating and it felt like a mild heart attack.
Lesson learned: never double up on meds
